There is no honest universal lifespan for headlight restoration. A compound-only improvement may deteriorate sooner than a properly corrected and protected lens, but product system, original condition, UV and heat exposure, mileage, washing and storage all affect durability. Any guarantee must state exactly what is covered and for how long.
A coating may enhance surface behaviour and make cleaning easier, but it does not provide the same physical impact layer as PPF. Modern PPF products may include self-healing topcoats for minor surface marks and manufacturer warranties, but those claims apply to the specified product, installation and warranty conditions — they shouldn't be assumed to apply across every film.
Watch for renewed haze, loss of water behaviour where relevant, roughness, peeling, edge lift, discolouration or damage to a film. Do not aggressively polish a filmed lens — ask the installer which maintenance products and inspection intervals apply.
We keep three things separate: the film or coating manufacturer's warranty, our own workmanship warranty, and the expected appearance in your actual use conditions. They are not the same promise, and we'll explain which applies to what.
They can weather again over time. Correct preparation, protection and care are intended to slow deterioration, not suspend ageing permanently.
