TAD Auto Detail provides mobile chrome delete — also known as dechroming — from North Wembley and across nearby parts of North West London. Suitable exterior trim is covered with automotive wrap film in gloss black, satin black, matte black, or another agreed finish. Vinyl is intended to be removable, but suitability and removal risk depend on the condition and type of the original surface.

3 Our Process
We arrive at your location with all vinyl, wrap tools, and installation equipment. All chrome surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated before any film is applied. The film is applied using specialist wrap tools — squeegees, tucking tools, and a heat gun — and complex curves and recessed areas are heat-formed for seamless conformity. All edges are tucked or terminated to a clean, professional finish, and the completed work is inspected in good lighting before we leave.

We bring all equipment and materials to your location, including our own water supply — you do not need to provide a water tap. We do however need access to a standard household power socket to run our equipment and charge the batteries for our tools. Please ensure the socket is within 50 metres of where the car will be parked. If it's further away, let us know when booking so we can plan accordingly.

Vinyl chrome delete is intended to be removable, but clean, damage-free removal cannot be guaranteed on every surface. Film age, substrate condition, previous repairs, degraded plating, maintenance and removal technique all matter. Some adhesive residue may remain, and unstable or repaired trim carries greater risk.

There is no single lifespan for every chrome delete. It depends on the exact film series and colour, substrate, exposure, installation and care. We identify the film used and explain the applicable product and workmanship terms with your quote.
We bring our own water — you do not need to provide a tap. We do need access to a standard household power socket to charge our heat gun and wrap tool batteries, within 50 metres of where the car is parked.
