Headlight PPF & Tinting
Protects against stone chips, road grit and UV-driven yellowing. Self-healing film in Clear or Light-Tinted finish — many products can reduce the appearance of light surface scratches with warmth, though results vary by product and mark depth.
A replacement headlight unit on modern cars can easily cost hundreds of pounds. PPF is a sacrificial layer that helps reduce the impact of stone chips and UV exposure on the lens beneath.

Headlight Polish
If your headlight lenses have turned yellow, foggy or opaque from UV exposure, this can reduce visibility and may affect your MOT result if the tester judges light output or beam pattern to be non-compliant. Multi-stage wet-sanding and machine polishing restores clarity to a suitable lens.
Improves night-time visibility and gives a suitable lens a genuinely clearer, newer look. It can't guarantee an MOT pass on its own — the tester assesses the complete lamp on the day — but a clear lens removes one common cause for concern.

Taillight Tinting
Transform the rear profile of your car with sleek, smoke-tinted overlays. Specialized high-clarity wrapping films custom-fit to darken the chrome/red contrast while fully preserving brake and indicator light transparency.
Gives a sleeker 'shadow' style look and adds a layer of protection against light scratches. Designed to be removable, though results can depend on the age and condition of the film.

Dechroming & Chrome Delete
Ditch the dated chrome trim and dechrome your car properly. Window surrounds wrapped in premium gloss, satin, or matte black vinyl for a cohesive 'black pack' performance look. Grille surrounds, badges, mirror caps and full-vehicle chrome delete are quoted separately based on your vehicle's trim.
Covers faded or water-spotted chrome with a fresh, blacked-out finish. Final price depends on your vehicle's make, model, and which components are included.

No need to drive out to a detailing studio and lose your vehicle for half a day. TAD Auto Detail brings the whole detailing setup to your door. Whether you are at home or at work, the work is carried out on-site while your car stays where it is.

Yes. TAD Auto Detail is a fully mobile service and does not have a shop or unit you can visit. All equipment, materials and water are brought to your address. The only thing needed on site is access to a standard household power socket within 50 metres of the vehicle.
Headlight restoration with TAD Auto Detail starts at £100 per pair, and takes roughly 90 minutes to 2 hours. A UV-protective finish is included as standard. Headlight PPF starts at £130 per pair, taillight tinting at £120 per pair, and dechroming of window surrounds from £240. Final pricing depends on the vehicle and the condition of the lenses. Headlight restoration takes about 90 minutes to 2 hours per pair. Headlight PPF takes 1–2 hours for film only, or 3–4 hours if the lenses need restoring first. Taillight tinting takes 1–2 hours. A window-surround chrome delete takes around half a day. TAD Auto Detail carries out all of this at your home or workplace, so there is no need to drop the car anywhere.
Tinted rear lamps are not automatically road legal. The finished lamps must still emit the required colour, intensity and visibility. Under the MOT manual, a product that obviously reduces light output can be recorded as a defect, and significantly reduced stop-lamp intensity is a major defect. TAD Auto Detail assesses each vehicle individually and does not guarantee an MOT pass on any tint finish. Read more about taillight tinting.
Headlight restoration removes the UV oxidation that turns lenses yellow, foggy or opaque, which improves night-time visibility and removes one common cause for concern at an MOT. It cannot guarantee a pass on its own, because the tester assesses the complete lamp — including beam pattern and output — on the day. Where a lens is cracked or the reflector inside has failed, restoration will not help and replacement is the honest answer. Read more about headlight restoration.
Chrome delete applied by TAD Auto Detail uses premium cast vinyl that is designed to be removed later without damaging sound factory paint or trim underneath. Removal results depend on how long the film has been on, the condition of the surface when it was applied, and how the vehicle has been stored. Trim that is already lacquer-peeled, corroded or previously resprayed is assessed before any work is agreed. Read more about dechroming.
