Mobile headlight PPF and tinting service in North Wembley, North West London

1 What We Offer

  • Clear PPF — completely invisible chip and abrasion protection
  • Light Tinted PPF — subtle, sporty aesthetic with protection
  • Photochromic PPF — advanced film that adjusts tint based on light conditions
  • Films selected from STEK and suitable product ranges from HEXIS BODYFENCE, 3M, Arlon or ORAFOL ORAGUARD, subject to documented lens compatibility and availability
  • Headlight restoration prior to film installation if existing yellowing is present
  • Road-legality assessment on every vehicle — no tint level is automatically road legal, and under the MOT inspection manual a film that reduces light intensity or alters emitted colour can be recorded as a defect
  • Digital film templating using vehicle-specific software where available
  • Heat forming to ensure perfect conformity to all lens curves and contours
  • All edges neatly sealed — clean, invisible, professional finish on both headlights

2 Benefits

  • One service — protection and aesthetics handled together in a single visit
  • Protects expensive headlight lenses from stone chips and road debris
  • Self-healing film — minor surface scratches disappear with heat
  • Product-specific resistance to weathering, yellowing and surface marks where stated by the selected manufacturer
  • Intended to be removable, with lens condition, coatings and previous restoration assessed before installation
  • Clear film offered as the lowest-risk choice; tinted and photochromic films can affect intensity or emitted colour and are not guaranteed to pass an MOT
  • Costs a fraction of headlight replacement, which can exceed £1,000 per unit

3 Our Process

We arrive at your location with all film and installation tools — we bring our own water supply, so nothing is needed from you. The headlights are first thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated to ensure perfect film adhesion. If any yellowing or oxidation is present on the lens, we carry out a restoration first before any film is applied — applying film over a degraded lens would lock in the cloudiness permanently. Once the lens surface is confirmed clear and clean, the film is digitally templated using vehicle-specific patterns where available, or hand-cut on site. It is applied with a slip solution, squeegeed flat, and heat-formed to the contours of the lens. All edges are sealed for a clean, professional finish, and both headlights are inspected before we leave.

Who It's For

This service is ideal for new car owners wanting to protect and style their headlights from day one, drivers completing a styled or blacked-out aesthetic package alongside taillight tinting and dechroming, owners of vehicles where headlight replacement is costly, and anyone wanting a tinted or adaptive photochromic finish without permanently modifying the lens. Clear PPF is the choice for pure protection; Light Tinted or Photochromic PPF is the choice for protection plus a styled aesthetic upgrade.

Power Socket Required

We bring all equipment and materials to your location, including our own water supply — you do not need to provide a water tap. We do however need access to a standard household power socket to run our equipment and charge the batteries for our tools. Please ensure the socket is within 50 metres of where the car will be parked. If it's further away, let us know when booking so we can plan accordingly.

4 Frequently Asked Questions

  • Headlight cleaning and full decontamination on both units
  • Restoration treatment first if oxidation is present (discussed at booking)
  • Digital or hand-cut film template to the exact lens shape
  • Professional self-healing TPU film installation with heat forming
  • Edge sealing and final inspection on both headlights

Clear PPF is selected primarily for protection with minimal visual change. Tinted film deliberately darkens or filters transmitted light. Photochromic film changes appearance in response to light conditions. These products are not assumed to provide identical construction, protection, optical performance or warranty; we confirm the exact product used.

No tint level is automatically road legal. Under the current MOT inspection manual, a product on a headlamp lens can be recorded as a defect if it obviously reduces light intensity or changes the emitted colour outside the requirements. The completed lamp is what matters. Clear film is the lowest-risk option; we do not guarantee that tinted or photochromic film will pass an MOT.

If your headlights show yellowing or oxidation, yes — we recommend restoration first. Applying film over a degraded lens will lock in the cloudiness permanently beneath it. We assess this honestly at booking and can carry out both in the same visit.

Yes — we need access to a standard household power socket to charge the batteries for our heat gun and tools. Please ensure it is within 50 metres of where the car is parked. We bring our own water — no tap is needed from you.

PPF or tint film on both headlights typically takes 1 to 2 hours. If a headlight restoration is carried out first, allow 3 to 4 hours total for the complete combined service.

Protection film is intended to be removable, but no installer can guarantee zero residue or zero damage on every lens. Film age, lens condition, previous restoration, coatings and removal method matter. Professional assessment and removal are recommended.
